Zanzibar Escape

A short island break built to sit on the end of a safari or a Kilimanjaro climb, though it works perfectly well on its own. One night, two days, and no early starts.

You land in Zanzibar, meet our representative and go straight to the coast. Stone Town, a spice farm and a beach afternoon fill the rest, with a sunset dhow if you want one.

Day by Day

  1. 01

    Day 01 — Arrival → Stone Town

    A transfer from Moshi or Arusha to the airport and a short flight to Zanzibar, where our representative meets you and takes you to your beach hotel. Depending on the timing you either head straight for the sand or spend the afternoon walking Stone Town — its architecture, carved doors, the Old Fort, the markets and the seafront — and finish with an optional dhow cruise at sunset.

  2. 02

    Day 02 — Spice farm, beach → departure

    After breakfast, a visit to a local spice farm to see and taste cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, vanilla and tropical fruit. Then the beach for swimming, photographs and as little as you like — snorkelling or a boat trip can be added — before your transfer to Zanzibar Airport.

  • Zanzibar is largely Muslim — please cover shoulders and knees in Stone Town and the villages.
