Overview

Kilimanjaro & Zanzibar

The eight-day Lemosho climb, and then the best recovery anyone has yet invented: a flight to Zanzibar and two days of warm water, spice farms and Stone Town.

Days one to eight follow the Lemosho route from rainforest to Uhuru Peak and down to Mweka Gate. Day nine puts you on a plane east. You can take the island in one day or two — the price changes with the choice.

Good to Know

  • The price depends on whether you take one day or two in Zanzibar. Both options are listed above.
  • Kilimanjaro is a serious high-altitude trek. Tanzania National Parks advises climbers to ascend slowly, allow time to acclimatise, drink plenty of water, report symptoms early and never walk alone.
  • You need travel insurance that covers trekking to 6,000 m.
  • Zanzibar is largely Muslim — please cover shoulders and knees in Stone Town and the villages.
