Overview

Machame 7-Day Trek

Machame is Kilimanjaro’s best-loved route for good reason. It climbs through rainforest, moorland and alpine desert, crosses the Shira Plateau and the Barranco Wall, and follows the climb-high, sleep-low rhythm that helps your body adjust to altitude. Seven days adds the extra night that makes a real difference on summit morning.

Your mountain crew — guides, cook and porters — carries camp ahead each day, so you walk with just a daypack. Your guides check in on how you are adapting every morning and evening, and every stage is planned around a steady, sensible ascent rather than speed.
