Overview
The three parks that made northern Tanzania famous, fitted into four days without feeling rushed. Tarangire for elephants and baobabs, the Serengeti for its plains and predators, the Ngorongoro Crater for the sheer concentration of animals on its floor.
A private vehicle and guide travel with you throughout. The Great Migration moves with the seasons, so rather than promising a river crossing we choose the part of the Serengeti that suits your dates and where the herds actually are.
Destinations Visited
Your guide meets you in Arusha after breakfast for a short briefing, then you drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day among its elephant herds, baobabs and river country. Picnic lunch in the park, an afternoon drive through the savannah and woodland, and dinner at your camp.

After breakfast you head for the Serengeti, climbing through the Ngorongoro highlands and out onto the plains. The drive is part of the safari, with the landscape changing around you and wildlife along the way. Once through the gate the game drive continues towards your camp.

An early drive across the plains, when the light is best and the cats are still moving, then breakfast and more time in the park before you turn towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The scenery shifts from open grassland to green highlands as you climb.

An early breakfast, then down into the crater for a morning game drive among buffalo, zebra, hippo, lion and the black rhino that live on the floor. Picnic lunch at a designated spot, up the rim, and back to Arusha in the late afternoon or evening.
